Your girl (me) is yet single (Kareem playing games🙄😒: INSIDER), But I absolutely LOVE all things love! I spent my Valentine’s Day at my second home…(WORK of course), but at least it was with my AMAZING coworker friends that I LOVE!🤗 I wanted to do something special for them, so I thought it was a perfect opportunity to get creative!
It’s so many of us and I wanted it to be cost efficient, so I decided on candy bags! (We love snacking at work). All it took was a stop at two stores and I had everything I needed! I hit up my local Dollar Tree (one of my favorite stores by the way) and there I found cute little zip lock bags with a V-Day print, a plastic container with lid that said “Happy Valentine’s Day”, and lastly foam hearts. Second stop was to a candy warehouse for the goodies! After much debate (because I’m hella indecisive), I settled on Frooties, Fruna Slabs and Hershey Kisses!
Candy Bags: I made up about 30 or so bags. Each bag contained 2 of the mystery flavored “Frunas” slabs, a handful of fruit punch flavored “Frooties” and a few “Hershey Kisses”!
The Bowl: I used the plastic V-Day bowl to put all the candy bags inside and make a cute display! The lid was red with a scalloped edge and I flipped it over and sat the bowl inside of it. It was cute!
Foam Hearts: The foam hearts I bought from Dollar Tree came in a pack with pink, purple and red. I taped one of each color together, kind of forming an ombre of sorts and I used it to write a message to my co-workers! I sat the hearts in front of the candy bowl for them to read!🤗😍
It went great! They loved it! Aside from the candy bowl, I bought a few trays of these hoagie sandwiches from a restaurant we have here in Chicago called T & JJ’s. I’ve bought these sandwiches for a few past events and they LOVE them! Literally we had 3 pans and there were none leftover! It was a great shift, spent with great friends and we enjoyed great snacks!
I still had many candy bags left over after the shift, so I took them to church with me on Sunday and gave them out to the kiddies! (Which has now given me an idea for Easter!) STAY TUNED!!!

That was an awesome Idea sis. I love celebrating LOVE no matter if it’s a significant other (I’m single), my family, my children or close friends. I usually past out goodie at work or just buy some candy and put it out for everyone for V Day but this year I decided to celebrate Self Love which was amazing.
